1. Write down all the hours you worked

First, write down the days and hours that you worked and were not paid correctly.

Here are some tools you can use to track your hours:

Work Hours Calendar, U.S. Department of Labor

http://www.dol.gov/whd/FLSAEmployeeCard/spanCalR2Web.pdf

Your employer is supposed to keep records of all wages paid to you and of all the hours you worked, but you should keep your own records, too. This work hours calendar will help you keep as much information as possible.

Note: This PDF prints out a calendar for the whole year and is 19 pages long. If you’re using a public computer and paying for printing, you may want to print just a few pages—only the ones you need.

Department of Labor Timesheet App for iPhone

This is a timesheet app for your iPhone that you can use to record the hours that you work and figure out how much the employer owes you. It also includes overtime pay calculations.
