If you have concerns about the special education services
If you disagree with the school about what is right for your child, there are a few things you can do.
If you do not think that the school is providing the services that your child needs, you can request additional services or a new placement. If the school refuses your request you may file a due process request. Here is a guided interview that will help you file a due process request.
You may also file a complaint with the State Department of Special Education if your child is eligible for special education and you don’t think that the school is providing your child with the services he or she needs.
