What are Expungements?

What are Expungements?

Expungements are the complete destruction of your arrest records. An expungement erases the existence of your charge and will no longer appear on your criminal record, the public index, or any third party background checks.

This means that you can honestly answer, “no” when asked if you have ever been convicted of a crime, if the expunged charge was the only conviction on your criminal record. Please note that an expungement does not remove information associated with your case from newspapers, other media outlets, google, etc.
